A version of Grace

After posting  my last blog featuring Vernazza Italy, I received a request from an art lover to create a version of the painting Grace.   It was exciting to receive a commission  through people sharing the blog on their  FB timelines.  My new customer had always wanted a version of the original painting.   After a small copyright fee, a donation will also be made, which is always a percentage of the profit on each sale. This one is going to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.  Thank you all that  liked and shared my blog. and page.  I am anxious to get more requests.

A Love Story

“Vernazza by the Sea”

In the spring of last year, I got commissioned to paint this courtyard in Vernazza Italy.  A small town by the sea with grand  beauty and history, surrounded by the vineyards of Italy.   A Young Doctor recently graduating from Medical School and his Doctor girl friend, just graduated as well, traveled to Vernazza to finally relax.  While there, the big question was popped.   John’s Mother wanted them to have a  piece of their romantic escape, and so the painting appeared at their formal engagement party .  It now hangs in their new home as a remembrance of their love.  They are  pictured together at the center of the courtyard right before the big moment.

What’s up??

Happy New Year to everyone…..

I have completed all the commissioned requests for the Holiday gift paintings.  Now it’s time to dig into 2017 and I need suggestions what to paint.  Selling and Branding on Social Media is tough.  I am not expecting the bulk of sales to be from  FB friends, but I need exposure to tie into all other social media, ETSY, Pinterest etc. which are the selling machines of social media.    According to a survey I did through a different media, Landscapes overwhelmingly took the top slot for requests in the painting world……  WHAT DO YOU THINK?    Seasonable Landscapes, seascapes, animal portraits, or other suggestions.  What do you like to see?   I would appreciate any feedback you can provide OR your own  requests.

Look what’s new

Hot off the easel, I just finished this painting of The Columbia – Wrightsville Bridge on a snowy cold night.   This  1.25 mile bridge has been around since 1929 and is a cornerstone for Columbia, PA.   Not many around like this baby.

I hope you enjoy the painting, especially  FB friends in Lancaster County, PA.

Welcome to my new website

brushGood day to you all .I am new to blogging, and I am excited to begin.  I started painting a few years ago, but never had the time to explore all the fun avenues to learn and display my work.  Now I have decided to pursue and learn all I can.  I enjoy creating powerful and visual statements using oil, acrylics and mixed media. A very  talented friend, Lorraine Picard designed a web site for me to display and sell my paintings.  I am donating a portion of each painting sold to two of my favorite charities which are detailed on the site.    This site is now going to be  released  through Face Book.    I ask you please to view my site, like and share with your Face Book friends and I am thankful for your support.  I hope I can paint something special for you.  Thank you for viewing and participating in future blogs.  I will also be displaying and selling on ETSY in the near future.

Check out my gallery of paintings.
